Our client is one of Malta’s largest and well-established healthcare distributors. The company specializes in the importation, promotion, sales and distribution of pharmaceuticals.
Job Description: They are looking for an Accounts Officer to help keep their accounting records up-to-date. The chosen candidate will be reporting to the Finance Manager and undertake the following responsibilities:
Updating accounting records, including but not limited to, journal entries and posting of supplier invoices
Assisting in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
Maintaining the Creditors Ledger, including payments to foreign and local suppliers on a timely basis and reconciliation of suppliers’ statements
Supervising cash reconciliations and handling deposits of funds received
Contacting clients regarding past due invoices
Assisting in the preparation of GL account analysis
Other ad-hoc office duties as may be requested by the management from time to time
Previous work experience in similar role
A Level in Accounts
Be a hard-working team player
Ready to learn and adapt to within a fast-paced work environment
Proficient in MS Office applications
Knowledge of Shireburn software will be considered an asset
