Our client, an e-learning company with customers in the UK and Europe, is presently seeking an Accountant to work alongside the Financial Controller to establish and define the Finance department within this fast paced, growing firm.


  • Data Entry - sales and purchase ledgers
  • Client Control - setting up new clients; maintaining and updating client accounts
  • Invoicing creation and processing - Producing invoices within our current systems
  • VAT processing - applying VAT procedures and checking VAT treatment rules
  • Reconciliation processes - Client accounts and standard finance reconciliations
  • Reporting – extracting data from the Finance systems for sales analysis/ turnover
  • Department queries - overseeing monthly statement of account processing; responding to client queries; production of aged debt reports.
  • Debt collection – working with other departments to actively control debt collection processes
  • Finance Department Administration – Filing; rebates; supporting regulatory filings

Previous experience and knowledge:

  • 2-3 years working in a Finance Department as an Accounts Clerk
  • AAT or similar or qualified by experience to have sound knowledge of:
  • Strong Excel and Office 365 skills
  • Knowledge of large Accounting systems (Sage Online would be a distinct advantage)
  • Keen interest in using technology to drive efficiency with processes and procedures

  • Strong organisational skills and consistent attention to detail
  • An analytical mindset
  • Confident, approachable personality that is comfortable dealing with clients and peers
  • Eager to learn and passionate about Finance
