A vacancy for a Report Developer has arisen within a leading administrator of life, pension and investment products and services.
The role involves responsibility for the development of a suite of reports used within the financial sector. Development will apply to systems for reporting, extract generation, accounting, and integration. The role functions within a team of experienced developers who are constantly improving how the work is done. The main duties attached to the role are:
Working on tools for reporting, extract processing and integration services of applications
Producing clear and maintainable code within the agreed timeframes, budgets and quality levels
Maintaining version control and producing clear and standard documentation for new code and successive updates
Unit testing of any code produced, delivering same for UAT and handling the change management cycle until the new code is released to the production environment
Participating in code reviews with the team
Carrying out meetings and actively corresponding with users to clearly define and document requirements and accurately determine effort in terms of time and resources.
Suggesting improvements that could improve operational efficiencies and guiding users whenever requirements do not meet security, quality or performance standards
Producing regular reports on matters relating to open issues and developments in the pipeline
Contributing to the continuous training development of the team to ensure improvement and increased efficiency
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent
Experience with reporting and extract generation
Strong understanding of SQL

Excellent communication skills and command of English
